Daisy shook her head, "I scored way to low on weapons. And I abhor violence. People get hurt badly. You have to be mean to people even though they may deserve it or not. I get forgetful even with the basics of clothing." She got back to business with a warm smile. "I confirmed with the hotel staff on the Room Service. So the Murderer probably knew the rules and times it just right. No-one suspects a Room Service to be returning after midnight to the kitchens."
She looked around wondering where the third member of the group was. He was suppose to be around here.
[The Continuance]
"Any evidence we collect no matter how small will be useful." Duncan said as he used his Tricorder. "But the idea about Room Service and knowing the timings is a good lead to look into."
Daisy nodded. "Even the register clerk said that Room Service terminates at midnight. The Shoe Serial Killer knew that also. Making him or her a patron or staff of the Hotel." She looked worried towards the door, "I wonder where the other Lieutenant is?"
"I have no idea where he could be." Duncan shrugged then looked at the Ensign. "I wonder why they are referred to as the Shoe Serial Killer? I find it very odd."
"Because the killer leaves behind a pair of shoes at the crime scene. So he must've struck more than once." Daisy spoke thoughtfully. "A signature."
"That is very scary to imagine." Duncan said honestly. "There should be an entire Semester on this at the Academy, it would spark much debate."
"I'm sure there are data files on the subject and of course the Councilors would be more interested in this stuff." Daisy spoke, moving up next to Duncan, "So anything interesting?" Pointing towards the Tricorder.
Duncan shook his head. "Some barely recognisable hair samples and minute traces of DNA but not enough to help us completely." Duncan said turning to Daisy.
I guess it's back to pounding doors again," Daisy was disappointed as she had thought she had found something important. She smiled and turned to leave the room. "Whomever did this had the timing down good. Right in middle of a lull in traffic. After those that were checking in at the last minute and before party goers return to the hotel."
"I agree, we need to deal with this ASAP." Duncan commented.
Pausing in the corridor in front of the room Daisy just exited and looking back in at Duncan. "I'll take the right side of the corridor and you take the left side and proceed from there. Sounds good Lieutenant?" Ready to meet new people, but hating the circumstances it was under.
