"I must speak with whoever is investigating your officer's death." The woman said frantically, almost clawing into the large reception desk. "I have information. Information they might need."
"The person you would need to speak to is Captain Rackham of the USS Farragut," the receptionist told her, politely but forcefully, "and he's not available at the moment."
Duncan was walking in, he had been working the case and he needed to take a break, walking past the desk he hear somebody talking to the Receptionist. He couldn't make out the conversation but it appeared to be intense.
"Lieutenant Harper!" The receptionist called after him as he noticed him walking by. "Would you be able to speak with this member of the public? She claims to have some information which may be relevant to your investigation."
Duncan stopped and turned around. "Ma'am?" He asked as he heard that information from the Receptionist. "If this can help our investigation then I am all ears."
"Yes, yes!" She exclaimed loudly, causing all of the officers walking by to turn and look at her. "I must speak with you!" She squinted at his rank insignia, unable to make head or tail of it. "Starfleet!"
"Okay okay, calm down." Duncan said trying to calm her. "Please tell me what your information is."
"I saw someone." She bellowed as the door closed behind them. "I saw a lot of people but this one was different. I don't know. It was his skin, yes! His skin! Yellow it was- pale, like he was sick or something I don't know. Jaundiced maybe."
Duncan looked at her, this was good information and it wouldn't be hard to notice somebody with that kind of condition. "Alright that is helpful, is there anything else?"
"And his mouth- wide. Really wide. He looked like he could rip the head of a Targ, y'know?" She smiled sweetly at the thought. "His eyes were really scary. He looked at me, you know. Not for long but he looked at me."
"You would be able to identify him if you saw him again?" The Security Chief asked, her description no matter how peculiar was the best information they could go on at the moment.
"Oh, yes. Yes! Most certainly!" She shrieked with something approaching elation. "I would be happy to. You just contact me at my hotel. It's the Garrioch- the Garrioch hotel. I'm in room four-oh-five. Barnes is my name, Mildred Barnes."
"Thank you very much," Duncan said with a smile. "You have been extremely helpful Madam." With the conversation over, the Security Chief watched as the lady walked away. Duncan then pulled out his Communicator. "Harper to Captain Rackham, Sir I think I have something you might want to hear..."
"Acknowledged, Lieutenant. I'm on my way."
