Lunch Service Is Over

Location: Officer's Lounge [C Deck, USS Farragut]
Timeline: 2278.54 1430hrs
As the two men ate lunch in quiet contemplation, they could both detect a change in the air, a sudden tension crossed over the whole room as the yeoman - Ensign Nash Gray - entered the Mess. He was one of the officers who had been involved in the fight the previous evening and sleeping off the booze - if that's what it was - didn't seem to have helped.
Nau looked up from his plate as Gray entered the Mess. "That one of the bozo's.."Nau's face contorted a bit.." I mean one of the jokers that got into the brawl here?"
"Yeah, that's one of them." Kramer said, motioning toward Gray's burst eyebrow which still seemed to be oozing blood ever so slightly. He didn't really want to be the one to point it out to him.
Able Crewman Jonah Wescott -the Chef whose logs were always a particular highlight of Kramer's rounds - seemed to mutter something to the Ensign about his eye before a deafening silence fell across the room. Suddenly there was a flash of fists as Gray lashed out, catching the Crewman on the jaw and sending him flying into a table, food and limbs flying everywhere.
Nau's sparkled with delight.."Aww right...we got us a FIGHT!!!! Wooohooo!" And plunged fists swinging into the melee.
Kramer watched on in shock as the man who he had been eating with just moments before suddenly became the centre of the stramash - his extremities were all being put to work hitting and holding off attackers which seemed to be coming from all directions. He shifted focus for a moment as he realised that everyone in the mess was now involved in a brawl of some kind.
He had to get out of there. He shoved his way through the throng to the door and was ejected like a champagne cork out into the corridor. The doors shut behind him and all was quiet for a moment. Then a shrill cry came from Observation Lounge. He stuck his head round the door, just managing to avoid a model of the original sailing ship Farragut which was hurled in his general direction.
